Community
People worth knowing. Work worth doing.
Common Good isn't just a place to work — it's a community of builders, connectors, mentors, and servant leaders who make each other better so they can have more impact.
Service & Giving
Causes We Support
We believe business and service go hand in hand. These are the organizations our members champion — right here in Columbia and beyond.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Missouri
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Missouri (BBBSCMO), matches adult volunteers ("Bigs") with local children ("Littles") ages 5 through 18. Through community-based outings and school-based programs, it focuses on long-term, one-on-one mentorship to build confidence and educational success
Heart of Missouri CASA
Court Appointed Special Advocates speak up for abused and neglected children in the foster care system, ensuring every child has a voice in the courtroom. CASA volunteers are ordinary people doing extraordinary work for the most vulnerable kids in our community.
True North of Columbia
True North provides safe housing, life skills, and community for young adults aging out of foster care — a population that faces disproportionate rates of homelessness and unemployment. Their work gives young people a real shot at a stable, flourishing life.
Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries
Coyote Hill provides therapeutic foster care, family support, and residential care for children who have experienced trauma and abuse. Their faith-driven model wraps entire families in support — not just the children in their care.
The Crossing
The Crossing is a Columbia church committed to helping people find and follow Jesus — and to serving the city they call home. Their outreach programs, community partnerships, and commitment to justice make them a cornerstone of the Common Good ethos.
St. Raymonds
St. Raymond's Society (SRS) is a Columbia, MO non-profit that empowers pregnant women and new mothers to achieve self-sufficiency. They provide transitional housing, personalized life coaching, emergency assistance, and on-site infant and childcare to help families build stable futures.
Love Columbia
Love Columbia mobilizes the local church to serve the city — coordinating volunteers, connecting resources, and meeting real needs across Columbia's neighborhoods. They are the connective tissue between faith communities and the people who need them most.

Events & Gatherings
Life at Common Good
We gather, learn, celebrate, and serve — together.
Monthly Member Meetups
Once a month we put down the laptops and share a meal, coffee, or drinks. No agenda — just good conversation, and the kind of connection that makes work feel less like work.
Lunch & Learns
Members share practical expertise with the community—from growth strategies and using AI more effectively to brand development and integrating faith with work. It’s real-world knowledge from people actively doing the work.
Service Days
We believe in giving back to Columbia. Members organize and participate in community service projects together — because the common good extends beyond our walls.
Guest Advisors and Speakers
We host Guest Advisors and Speakers who bring practical experience, fresh perspectives, and specialized knowledge to the community. Through workshops, conversations, and educational sessions, members will gain valuable insights on topics such as business growth, leadership, technology, branding, and personal development.
